At the time we met, he had recently retired from practicing as an OB/GYN Physician for 26 years and he and I shared the passion of helping others unconditionally.
Andrew's 2nd burning passion after medicine has been to write and become and accomplished author and screenwriter. He unselfishly volunteered to become the author of our "WORD OF THE DAY" column back in January 2008 on this website.
For over 2 1/2 years, he has unconditionally invested hours of his precious time weekly - in order to enhance the knowledge of our readers and expand their vocabularies as well as mine..
A couple months ago I learned that he had entered a writing contest that would earn him a book signing deal for a novel that he is writing. It immediately became MY PERSONAL GOAL to reach out to everyone I know and ask them to invest 10 minutes of their time to vote for this wonderful individual!
And our response from viewers and friends was touching in both rounds one and two. Ten minutes was a small price to pay, to help an individual who has invested his entire life to helping Mom's stay healthy and delivering thousands of babies into this world safely. Andrew now continues his quest to share his knowledge and skills with the rest of the world through his skillful writing.
