Being a GREAT COMMUNICATOR as a LEADER means more than just delivering a speech well. Speeches often are written by professionals other than the leader that delivers them. Speeches are meant to communicate an important message - however the content should consist of the truth and the leader should possess the qualities we have discussed in this POLL SERIES which are:
Too often we make the mistake of labeling an individual who is a great presenter of material as a great communicator. Being a skilled presenter is definitely important. But it takes practicing more of the leadership qualities listed above to be a GREAT COMMUNICATOR as a leader.

Post-Poll Commentary:
From this poll, it appears that 57% of our respondents believe that Ronald Reagan possessed the "total package" as a Great Communicator. He was not only a great Presenter but he also possessed the leadership qualities of Honesty, Energy & Passion
being a Great Listener, Being Decisive and Being Realistic as descibed in our prior polls.
President Reagan received lots of training and gained excellent presentation skills during his career in Hollywood. He put those skills to good use as a Governor of California and then again as President of the United States.
Being a Great Communicator takes a conscious effort to learn the necessary presentation skills while practicing the solid fundamentals of great leaders that we have discussed thusfar in our polls and will cointinue to discuss in future weeks.
